   We are pleased to introduce Prof. Giovanni Battista Dagnino as the new member of IICM2013 scientific committee

 

   Prof. Dagnino (PhD, in Business Economics & Management from Universita di Catania)  is a Professor in the Department of Economics and Business of the University of Catania, Italy, where he is also Coordinator of the PhD Program in Economics and Management and Academic Director of theGroup of Research in Insurance and Banking Economics and Management (GRIM). Hehas held visiting positions at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, Wharton School, London Business School, IESE Business School, Grenoble Ecole de Management, the University of Mannheim, and IAE B-School and received his Ph.D. from the University of Catania and MURST.


   Prof. Dagnino`s current research interests refer coopetition strategy dynamics, the relationship among governance, entrepreneurship and strategy, and the evolution of strategy paradigms. He is author or editor of ten books, among which "Coopetition Strategy: Theory Experiments and Cases", Routledge, 2009; New Frontiers in Entrepreneurship, Springer, 2009; Coopetition: Winning Strategies for the 21st Century, Edward Elgar, 2010. His work has appeared in outlets such as Strategic Management Journal, Advances in Strategic Management, International Studies of Management and Organization, International Journal of Learning and Intellectual Capital, Journal of Management and Governance, Journal of Management History,Journal of Managerial Psychology, Management Research, Emergence: Complexity and Organization, International Review of Economics, Revue Franacise de Gestion, Academy of Management Best Papers Proceedings, Economia &Management, Finanza Marketing e Produzione, and Economia e Politica Industriale.

   

   Prof. Dagnino was co-organizer of the Strategic Management Society Special Conference "New Frontiers in Entrepreneurship: Strategy Governance and Evolution",Catania, Italy, 2007 (with David Audretsch, Rosario Faraci and Robert Hoskisson), and served as guest editor of the Strategic Management Journal special issue on "The Age of Temporary Advantage" (with RichardD'Aveni, Tuck School, and Ken Smith, Maryland).
